Cliché?

Quotes have always taken a rap for being cliché and shallow. Yet, every successful organization has a catch phrase that captures their identity. At Catalyst For Africa, we have three we believe are reflective of who we are:

“Linking Hearts, Changing Lives.”

“Together we are changing the world in Jesus’s name one relationship at a time.”

”If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”

Each of these phrases have value for us as an organization, but I want to share one of the most important phrases that is significant to our very DNA. It is based on Scripture. We would say we are founded on the Word and focused on the World. Allow me to explain:

Romans 1: 11, 12 “I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong—that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith.”

What Paul is expressing is essential for the growth of the church and for the growth of believers and leaders. We are to stand with and mutually encourage one another. At Catalyst For Africa, we, too, long to impart spiritual gifts to strengthen and encourage believers’ faith. Our focus is not on programs, but on relationships.

We don’t resort to glitzy means to promote who we are or what we do. Instead, we offer one-on-one spiritual support, which creates real community transformation, one relationship at a time. I challenge you to think about the most significant influence on your life. Was it a program? An educational system? A relationship? Overwhelmingly, people say individual relationships are the most influential factor in developing their character and transforming their lives.

Catalyst For Africa wants to change the world. We want to see the continent of Africa won to Christ; and we want to transform communities. We believe that by investing in leaders and developing relationships, that we will have the greatest impact on our ministries. Join us. Go deep with us. Pray that God will truly transform our world, one relationship at a time.
