Ministry: Africa Inland Church and Christian Vision for Development—South Sudan
Africa Inland Church—South Sudan was established in 1949 by missionaries from Africa Inland Mission. Christian Vision for Development is a registered local organization connected with Africa Inland Church. Its ministry is to reach souls for Christ while helping with health, education and school renovation, emergency relief services, and agriculture to help sustain the Christian community. The ministry serves in both rural and urban areas on projects that promote peace and reconciliation during this time of conflict in South Sudan. They are also involved in evangelism outreach and pastor training.
Klero’s goals for the ministry are continued pastor training and construction of a secondary school and a university to further education in the community. Due to the civil war in South Sudan, there are many orphans who are lacking the opportunity to have an education. The ministry has acquired land for the university, and there are teachers ready to run the institution once it is built. Catalyst For Africa is proud to partner with Klero and the African Inland Church in their endeavors to bring healing to the South Sudanese and to bring education opportunities to the students who are eagerly awaiting the opportunity.
